The first book I ever read that was set in Japan was Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. And I’m sure I’m not alone there. Murakami after all is one of Japan’s most famous authors. Particularly abroad.
I read most of Murakami’s catalog. And my favorite is without doubt the wind-up chronicle.
